Grief and Career for Introverts, Extroverts and Ambiverts
Learning to assess your personality facilitates career insight, it also encourages you to become the champion of your healing. There is no escaping Big Grief (loss of life, catastrophe) and Little Grief (relationship issues, family problems). Knowing the Self in meaningful and intimate ways enables you to learn how to go the distance — so you can soar. Figuring out how you, and specifically you, can thrive and recharge is always important, and more so in the face of Big and Little Grief.
Introverts:
Have you heard yourself saying, “I get my energy to organize my week while I am alone, in a calm environment?” Or, “I prefer to recharge after a long day and soothe myself by myself?” Introverts not only like to recharge on their own, but they also relish solitude, because they get stimulated easily and can quickly become overwhelmed.
For this reason, spending time one-on-one or in small groups is preferred. This can be realized in the work environment by taking a little extra time to reach out to people individually. It will take the pressure off of bigger meetings. As an introvert, you think before you speak, and don’t usually take big risks because you dislike conflict.
