What Resolution Looks Like for Professionals

Resolution does not mean that your waters are calm; rather, it means there is a familiarity in the moving tide of emotional career turns, and an acceptance of the unpredictability that remains. It is like ascending on an escalator and looking down at the trials of your hero’s journey that you have overcome.

Resolution contains room for reflection on these moments but is also a place of respite where you can focus on other things.

Resolution does not come automatically: it’s not as if it blossoms fully formed just because you have passed through many stages and struggles; it is itself something that needs to be worked on, allowed in, and given room to flourish.
